Borough Market:
One of London’s most famous food markets bounced back from terror attacks that hit the capital two-and-a-half years ago.
In June 2017, also during a general election campaign, 11 people were killed and many more injured when a van drove into crowds on London Bridge on a Saturday night before continuing into Borough Market.
“We were shut for nine days and when we reopened people came back slowly, they were dubious,” said a seafood stall owner at Borough Market
Expert advice was required as was extremely important of re-ignite a sense of security and protection within the area.
Borough Market is the city’s oldest market with a history dating back around 1,000 years. Bakers and fishmongers have been selling their wares near the site since the 11th century. It is now said to attract around 15 million visitors per year and more than 100 languages are spoken across the trading floor.
