Quality Access Standard Bollard

The telescopic post for this bollard is a very effective security barrier for premises where there is a possibility of a ram raid. Highly rated by our team here at Barriers Direct, this device can be supplied in either lightweight or medium heavy-duty options. We do, however, recommend the use of the heavy-duty option in areas where the risk of vehicular attack is most high.

This bollard is installed with an outer casing beneath the ground. When you need to remove the barrier, simply unlock it using its key, twist the handle, and gently lower it into its outer casing. There is a lid to cover it up and you now have unrestricted passage for vehicles. When it is needed again, uncover the lid, lift the bollard back into its full upright position and twist the handle. 

Push down the lock to secure it in place. A ten-pin radial integral lock secures the bollard.

Though the bollard is made of sturdy steel construction for security purposes, it does feature a lift assist mechanism that reduces its weight by around 60%. This makes the manual work of lifting and lowering it easier and safer for you.

The bollard comes in a standard galvanised stainless steel finish, but can also come colour-coated in a range of RAL colours. This customisation allows for colour matching to corporate colours. The bollards also feature two yellow reflective bands at the top to enhance visibility under low light conditions.

Standing at a 670mm height and made to a 6mm wall thickness, the heavy-duty versions are great for preventing the occurrence of ramming. At Barriers Direct, we do recommend their use in areas like car showrooms, car parks, embassies, and other buildings requiring extra security. The lightweight versions can be suitably used as deterrents and for access control in areas like domestic driveways
